Yesterday I was at a staff meeting when I saw one of my co-workers cross out something on her agenda, marking the end of a two-month training period. I've talked about this time of the year with friends and am very much aware that the most important part of the year is coming but it didn't actually hit me, hit me until I saw her do it:

2008 is about to end.

I bet everyone wondered what I was smiling about when we had been sitting and talking about not-so-interesting stuff for the past hour and a half. The thought simmered and I found myself getting really really happy. Should I be? Are you just as excited about it as I am? Most of the folks I know would say yes.
